Launched in 2012, Arboretum Festival is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to presenting our region’s most innovative and progressive new music, food and art.
Arboretum has grown from a one-day event into a vibrant, multi-day music festival and cultural celebration. Offering an intimate alternative to Ottawa’s traditional festival culture, Arboretum is held on historic grounds and in our favourite venues around Ottawa-Gatineau. We showcase an eclectic mix of Ottawa’s emerging music, critically-acclaimed national acts, media art, interactive installations, progressive gastronomy and hard-hitting panel discussions.
As part of the 3rd annual Arboretum Festival, Creative Mornings is happy to co-host a talk on the state of cultural press in Ottawa. Moderated by Arboretum’s Artistic Director founder Rolf Klausener, this panel discussion features esteemed guests Marie LeBlanc Flanagan (founder/director, Weird Canada), Peter Simpson (arts writer, Ottawa Citizen), Allan Wigney (music writer/editor, Bubbles Wig, ex-editor Ottawa Xpress) and Lesley Marshall (Editor, Small Talk).
